The main goal of Stockartist is to provide a mechanism to allow any person, independently of their income, social status, gender, sexual preference, race, origin, etc., influence in two decisions in the art world: the price of the artworks and the importance of the artists (this is also related with the decision how “good” or “bad” is an artwork). The mechanism gathers information from many sources to calculate daily different indexes to evaluate the artists from many points of view, one of the indexes is called democratic index calculated based on the participants of Stockartist behaviour.
Stockartist is composed by two kinds of market: the real market and the reference market. In the reference market thousand of artists play in a simulation environment to get their daily values. In the real market, artists posts real artworks, based in the Stockartist model. Prices in the real market may change everyday affected by the reference market results.
Participants of the reference market receive 15,000 virtual money to invest in artists, institutions or curators to trains themselves as art investors. In the real market participants can buy real artworks in ranges from 1 to 100 Euros each.
Stockartist was created in the premise that any person can train itself to appreciate and give their valuable opinion in the contemporary art world. This is a mechanism to attract more people, broad the target of the art world, using the entertainment, excitement and making the participation of any person valuable for the system. Also provide the information and tools to train as professional art investor.
For artists, institutions and art professionals, Stockartist provide a wide range of data and a powerful wiki system to feed all the information they have about them self or others in the Stockartist repository. Typing and fixing information the Wiki system give to the users, page views to insert ads in the Stockartist website to promote their events, artworks, etc.

We believe that any person can make a valuable contribution to the contemporary art. And what is needed are just ways to motivate and to introduce them into the knowledge and the conscience that art world offers.
The main objective of the ODVA is to facilitate and support ideas, projects and initiatives in order to build a democratic art world.
ODVA offers two main services: One is to promote and encourage people to use the Stockartist model. And the second one is to become in an informational and educational centre for people interested to participate in the decisions of the contemporary art.
Stockartist counts with a Wiki system. Usign this system you can type exhibitions, artists, images, links, etc. in the Stockartist repository. For every element inserted you can receive page views for your ads or virtual money to invest your artstocks. You just have to register, type your data and insert your banners!!
